Job Description:
Our Career Connections Specialist is accountable for assuring excellence in the offerings of Goodwill's Career Center, a center which is open to the public for job search and career assistance.
The Specialist is innovative in reaching and motivating individuals with social, personal, and other barriers to employment as they search for a career.
The Specialist establishes community ties to promote job placement and creates a support network of employers and agencies to promote employment and educational opportunities.
The Career Connections Specialist will be responsible for the following:
Relating to all levels of individuals, making everyone feel comfortable while always maintaining professionalism.
Assisting with employment services such as job search, applications, career coaching, resume writing, etc.
Coordinating and facilitating job readiness and other workshops.
Working with individuals both one-on-one and in group settings.
Seeing the value in each individual and ensuring that Goodwill's goals and participant goals are met simultaneously.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIRES VALID NORTH CAROLINA DRIVER'S LICENSE EDUCATION:
Associate's degree preferred
Experience:
Strong computer skills, educational or classroom experience (or case management experience with an emphasis on job readiness), and any additional experience in relationship building would be preferred.
Pay:
$18.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
