Essential Duties:
The painter's main responsibility is to prepare parts and /or assemblies for painting.
Prepare/mix paint (primer and topcoat) and apply paint to parts and assemblies to company quality and safety standards.
Inspect wet and dry paint mill thickness to ensure it meets company expectations for desired paint life.
Monitor material levels and report any shortages/issues to his/her supervisor.
Ensure that equipment is maintained, cleaned, and serviced on regular schedules.
Communicate with the production supervisor concerning material shortages and equipment needs Other duties as assigned.
Required
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Ability to read and interpret work instructions, and written directions.
Ability to read and communicate in English.
Ability to stand for entire shift and walk throughout the facility.
Must be able to repeatedly lift 10-20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively.
