Quick Apply Full-time 6 hours ago Full Job Description Davidson Charter Academy in Lexington, NC is seeking candidates for a Full-Time Teacher Assistant position! We are looking for a responsible and energetic Teacher Assistant to join the team at our growing school.
As a teacher assistant, you will work with students and perform additional tasks to support teachers in providing a comprehensive educational program.
Our ideal candidate is industrious, cooperative and knowledgeable about educational best practices and child development.
Teacher Assistant Duties and Responsibilities Help prepare materials for lessons Ensure that students have all materials necessary for class activities Work with students individually or in small groups for extension or remediation Provide extra help as needed to students Maintain detailed records of students' progress on instructional or behavioral goals Grade assignments and record results Coordinate with classroom teachers to determine daily tasks Supervise students in various settings including classrooms, playgrounds, and field trips Enforce school rules and policies Preform all other duties as assigned HOURS:
Full-Time SALARY:
$25,000.
annually (10 months) All teacher assistants at DCA are on one-year contracts.
Contract renewal is contingent upon successful performance, completion of duties and expectations, as well as funding.
Teacher's Assistant Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Associate or bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred Certification in child first aid and CPR preferred At least one year of relevant experience in an educational or childcare setting preferred Strong collaboration skills; able to work well with a team Effective at multitasking; can prioritize tasks based on importance and deadlines Quick Apply.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
