30 till Friday at 8:
30 AM (off during the days) not paid for sleep time.
An employee in this class will maintain the upkeep and maintenance of a designated group home in accordance with licensing agencies.
Responsibilities include:
supervision of residents, assistance with daily living skills, maintenance of resident's files, understanding dietary needs of all residents and preparing meals accordingly, administering medications, assisting with fund management, addressing daily goal plans, completion of daily documentation, and any other duties assigned by the Executive Director.
Supervision Received The work is performed under the direction of the Executive Director and Group Home Coordinator in accordance to established policies, procedures, and objectives.
Performance is evaluated by the Executive Director in conference and by written evaluation annually.
General Duties and Responsibilities Ability to uphold the rights of the individuals served at all times Ability to self start Maintain confidentiality of individual served and other persons receiving services in all settings but especially when assisting with medications or personal care, etc.
Maintain confidentiality of all records, files etc.
for all programs.
Ensure that individuals are supervised and engaged in age appropriate and meaningful activities at all times or work with individual to develop a safe and supervised living/community engagement environment.
Supervision requirements can be modified if the resident has a write-off, staff shall maintain a log book of persons served whereabouts for those that access the community independently.
Support individuals through their daily activities and ensure that such activities are performed in an effort to meet individual goals.

training criteria and curriculum, including attendance in staff meetings, team building initiatives, and organizational training sessions to improve professional competence.
Ability to successfully demonstrate competence in all areas of training and to successfully pass all competency testing and demonstration requirements.
Follow health care regulations, behavior regulations, and individuals written behavior plans.
Communicate professionally and positively with individuals, parent/guardians, caregivers, staff, visitors and other professionals.
Administer simple first aid and assist with medication administration, also demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment in any necessary scenarios Will abide by, enforce, and participate in the implementation and ongoing oversight of all Workshop safety standards and regulations.
Will also assist with emergency management and completion of drills.
Maintenance and upkeep of residential facility Know the medical needs of the residents and about emergency procedures which may be required Maintain a record of all new persons served arrival and departure and orientation of the policies of the home.
Assist resident in completion of individual goals and complete documentation concerning interventions and progress towards goals Keep a log book regarding the whereabouts of all persons served when not at The Workshop.
Record meals served and food inventory (monthly) Responsible for cleanliness of house Keep medication in locked room and locked file cabinet Medication administration records kept daily as medications are administered Keeping all medications in stock, refills ordered as needed, medications in date and orderly, and ensure all medications match doctor's orders.
Keeping with Rights of persons served, Health and Safety (OSHA) regulations Monthly fire/safety drills and water temperatures recorded Keep records required to maintain license, DHHS, DFS, Cardinal, etc.
Keep persons served files up to date according to standards Keep house and grounds ready for inspection by Federal, State, County, City, Vocational Rehabilitation, Probation, Health, and Fire Officials, Board of Directors, Administrators, and Parents of current or prospective persons served Responsible for assigning persons served chore schedule (training and assistance) a.
Keeping individual rooms clean and in order b.
Cleaning bathrooms c.
Assigning laundry schedule d.
Rotate assignments 1.
Washing morning, noon and supper dishes 2.
Cleaning and mopping kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, and laundry room 3.
Empty trash 4.
Cleaning hallways and den 5.
Cleaning porches and walkways 6.
Upkeep of lawn and shrubbery Deliver quality services to meet each person's served individual need/want to achieve their highest degree of independence Conserve on expense of utilities and food Plan daily menus and the purchasing of food from approved resources (send reports and bills into The Workshop).
Prepare and serve balanced meals Provide day to day counseling with residents appropriate to the program plan Supervision of persons served at all times, unless person served has a write off Notify Group Home Coordinator/ Administrator in advance of plans to take days off.
Any time off other than paid vacations, holidays or weekends must be approved.
Assures that the residents have opportunities to participate in community activities.
Provides specific training to the residents based upon program plans (goal plans) involving skills in household chores and responsibilities.
Mediate between residents and environment assuring that the least restrictive environment is available, in order to help residents improve capabilities for living.
Be informed of resident's activities outside the home such as at The Workshop or activities programs and integrate in house activities and training with these programs.
Also develop activities and situations within the home that encourage resident involvement and interaction among peers.
Help arrange for people to visit the home and for resident's to visit outside the home with families and friends.
Keep in close contact with families and encourage their involvement in the development of goal plans when appropriate.

Maintain close contact with the executive director and the group home coordinator, carry out recommended programming and refer problems to the group home coordinator when necessary.
Maintain financial and program information for the residents.
Act as advocate for residents in protection of all rights.
Keep informed of various medications used by residents, assist the resident in taking medications and offer instruction on the proper use of and how to take them independently when appropriate.
Understand dietary needs of residents, and prepare meals in accordance with individualized needs (follow Doctor's orders for special diets) Assist residents in the development of personal care and hygiene habits such as cleanliness, grooming, dressing, etiquette, and social relationships.
Assists residents with appointments such as doctor, dental, hair dressers etc.
and see that residents attend these appointments on time.
Participates in In-Service training and other conference related or assigned duties.
Assists the residents in learning good money management and banking skills.
Maintain adequate supplies of personal and household supplies.
Assists in development, implementation and periodic review of the Person Centered Plan with each resident.
Work closely with Relief SIC to assure better person served service.
Assists in the development of Goal Plans, comprehensive service plans, daily documentation on case record/goal/attendance forms, monthly progress reports, house parent rating forms, and incident reports when applicable.
Attend staffing when perspective person served is being discussed.
Complete any forms from DFS, DHHS, Cardinal Innovations, DSS, etc.
as they develop.
Complete incident reports when needed and document all accidents and incidents Report consumer rights violations or suspected incidents at any time.
Physical Requirements The ability to lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Considerable knowledge in the human resource field.
Considerable knowledge in medication administration.
Ability to maintain records and progress notes.
Ability to act as an advocate for all residents.
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and Two years experience in a related field.
Must have ability to work effectively with staff and persons served, and have the ability to communicate with all persons in a culturally competent manner.
A valid NC drivers license.
Accountability The Supervisor in Charge will be responsible to the Executive Director and the Group Home Coordinator of The Workshop of Davidson, Inc.
/Group Homes, and will perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
